Blue Badge guide?

The Blue Badge is a professional qualification that allows guides to work in a specific region or area of Britain. Blue Badge guides conduct both walking and coach tours and offer their guests a high quality and entertaining experience during their stay in, here, North East England. 

After a selection interview, guides undertake a rigorous and comprehensive training course with final written and practical exams. Only successful absolvation of these result in registration with the Institute of Tourist Guiding and possession of the coveted Blue Badge.

All Britain’s Blue Badge Guides have the same national core knowledge with in-depth local knowledge.

The Blue Badge is an internationally recognised hallmark of excellence both in site and heritage interpretation and communication skills.
