This was our very first group who booked a full holiday with us as a small tour operator back in 2009. We picked up the group in Kent - Alex was our guide for the duration of their visit to North East England. Amongst other things, the group experienced the splendid history of Durham, visited the Sage Gateshead in Newcastle, saw live excavations on Hadrian's Wall and walked amongst wild sea birds on the Farne Islands on the beautiful Northumberland coast. The group is travelling with Alex to Germany in 2013.

During a very cold week in December 2010 Northern Secrets Ltd took a lead part in a documentary of North East England by German television channel HR. You can see the complete film (in German) here. In the past we have managed media visits for several national and international television productions and newspaper journalists.

One of our regular groups for the past few years is a group of German hunters. On arrival they do make their mark... This picture was taken at the Port of Tyne ferry terminal on arrival in North East England. By the way, they did the same on Alex' birthday a few days later - in the heart of Newcastle!

Alex accompanies many groups from all over the world - this group arrived from Germany in 2009 and enjoyed a week long tour of parts of Scotland, North East England and Yorkshire. This picture was taken on York's historic city walls - we believe Alex must have mentioned tea and scones looking at the jubilation of the crowd. :)

One of our longest tour in the region - and a very enjoyable one. This group arrived by plane from Frankfurt and experienced a full flavor of one of Europe's hidden secrets - North East England. The group stayed for 11 days and went mining at Killhope, seal watching on the Northumberland coast, enjoyed a flying lesson at Harry Potter's Alnwick, had a Northumbrian picnic on Hadrian's Wall and visited the world's first home powered by hydro electricity at Cragside...

We take part in many trade shows and usually have stands at some of the largest in the country. This is from Best of Britain and Ireland at the NEC in Birmingham in 2011. We plan and create many familiarisation trips to North East England and Scotland. This was one of our first with DFDS Seaways - from this day our relationship with DFDS has grown and we now work closely together when bringing guests to the Port of Tyne...

Here, Alex decided to take guests on an evening walking tour of Inverness - as it was Saturday the grou enjoyed live music from tradtitional Scottish bands as well as some of the highlights of this ancient city.
